Children aged 18 months to 3 years share the room with their teachers who are fully qualified and registered. Our long standing teaching team enjoy a positive warm and nurturing relationship, which allows our children to feel safe and secure encouraging them to develop and foster positive relationships.

The room is like a home away from home, where each toddler is respected and has the best care ensuring that we provide an environment and programme that offers both challenges and predictable happenings for their young developing minds. We are committed to providing a stimulating environment where children can test their naturally unfolding curiosity and explore in nature based experiences.

Our practices allow the children opportunities for independent exploration and movement. Our young learners experience open-ended exploration and play within an all encompassing environment which ensures that each child’s culture is incorporated in a programme including enjoyable learning activities such as visual art, drama, music, and dance.

Opportunities are provided for conversations with toddlers affirming their identity and self-knowledge while understanding and encouraging both verbal and non-verbal communication in our daily activities, practices and learning experiences.

We work to provide comfortable and well-understood routines in a caring setting that are both positive and interactive, supporting toddlers in toilet training, using unhurried and familiar routines, thus making them feel as comfortable as possible in what can sometimes be a daunting challenge.

Teachers encourage self-help skills and aim to assist our toddlers to grow up as independent, competent, and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body, and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.
