IT TAKES A VILLAGE
Children can’t get enough warmth, play, love or kindness. We provide a space that meets their needs for activity and rest, autonomy and relationships - the whole sphere of what it means to be young, and learning about yourself and the world. But we also look after our parents and whanau. It really does take a village to raise a child.
All the ‘head qualifications’ we gain as teachers mean far less than the way we make others feel. Warmth truly is it - it speaks of homeliness and inclusion, kindness and compassion. We can add soft furnishings, but it’s the soft, warm heart qualities of our teachers that really ‘heat’ the place. That goes for our little hearts and our big hearts. We pride ourselves in nourishing relationships with all of those who partake in our Early Impressions community.
